Refrigerator Pickles – Moms recipe

1 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup white vinegar

Mix all of these ingredient together and pour over

7 cups thinly sliced cucumbers
1 cup thinly sliced onion.

Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours before eating.

You can cut the recipe in half if you don’t want to make that much.  (I will add a picture when I make these)

  1. Are you pickling already? How much water do you use in that recipe? I am excited to start pickling but it won’t be ’til August here in MN. We are going to throw an agridude pickling party in the Fall. I plan on doing green beans, cukes, carrots, and peppers.

    • No, I am not pickling yet. There is no canning/pickling involved in this recipe. You just put them in a tupperware container and let them sit overnight, then you can eat them on sandwiches or just plain by themselves
